Money is Like Gasoline

I have an interesting analogy about money. If Life is like a journey with your car, then money is like gasoline. You have to pay attention in your gasoline level but not too much. Where you go is more important.

You can amass a lot of gasoline in the road, bring a secondary tank maybe; but you can also bring a little gasoline, enough to fill your tank, and hope there is enough gas station along the way.

And, like a journey, in the end, it’s not really important how much gasoline you have;  but where you are at? Is the journey worth it? And likewise, it is not how much money you have, but what have you done with that money and with your life?

Money is important, but not the most important.

Kthx. byebye.

The analogy is inspired from here.

  1. Riches are a good handmaid, but the worst mistress.
Wealth is a good servant, a very bad mistress
L’argent est un bon serviteur, et un méchant maître
Money is a good servant, a dangerous master.

  3. nice post….salam kenal….

  4. “its about the journey, not the destination”

    “its not about the gasoline”

    couldn’t agree more…

  5. Yap, without money we can’t do anything, but money isn’t everything. 😀 😀
